rapidobear Nice work, thoroughly enjoyed the album. Love the cover art too, it's got Long Dark vibes. Favorite track: a long way from home and no closer to heaven.

they came over at midnight or later and they'll leave in the morning with rings on their faces the sunlight feels like a disease and each stumbling step is a laugh in the face of a god that set them free but what's freedom from inside this limited prison? what did they learn? will they remember? how in the world did they get here and where the hell will they go? why do they do this every night? when the prayers come through they'll be fine breaking ground on the dawn of a new day in search of new paranoid musings climbing up and down stairs shaking the whole way from heaven to hell and each trembling step is a laugh in the face of a god that set me free but what's freedom from inside this limited prison? what did i learn? will i remember? how in the world did i get here and where the hell will i go? why do i do this every night? when the prayers come through i'll be fine

nothing left 03:58
you're the blanket in my head to put me to rest the culler of words i'd rather leave unsaid like a knock on the door i try to ignore but i'll always open up as you swallow me whole will you still be here when i have nothing left? my ceti eel burrowed deep in my ear with manipulative whispers i cherish so dear but when you are done the words you had expunged come flooding back and i drown as i ask: will you still be here when i have nothing left? my holy ghost the one i misunderstand the most some deny your existence but i know i'm your host whiter and brighter than an atomic flash and greener than a dollar bill i'd fight you if i could but i don't have the-- will you still be here when i have nothing left?

petechiae 03:50
we'll all end up shadows on the wall the atomized phantoms who couldn't pay the ransom so we'll pay with our lives black and red are the only colors left magnesium white of an eye-scorching brightness left only cursed fire rain petechiae for my last breath i scream

about

This album is a reflection on the last several years of my life: the samsaric cycles of drug abuse, the self-imposed alienation, the increasing anxiety in response to increasingly bleak developments unfolding on a global scale, the general feeling that things aren't going to be okay. As this world ends, there comes a choice: to let all return to nothing or shape a brighter world in its place. I want to stand in the sun.
